Michael Chabon has a great op-ed on this steroid mess in the New York Times: Jose Canseco, Hero.

I'm thinking I should read more of this guy's work. This op-ed really spoke to me, and I also enjoyed his essay as "Malachi B. Cohen" in McSweeney's #13.
